In Sakinah Cirlce, we look to read the 'signs' (ayāt) of the natural world. The more time we spend outside, reflecting on the cosmos, the deeper our relationship with the rest of creation.
We are historically rooted which means we are connected to our ancestors in faith who, for 1400, internalized sacred scripture and then went out in the world and did amazing things.
We are service oriented at Sakinah Cirlce because feeding people and spreading peace are essential to our faith. We try to actualize this in our lives and share these values with our students.
Sakinah Circle, an Edmonton Public Schools program based on the Qura’nic Worldview, invites parents with elementary school children (Kindergarten to Grade 6) to attend an information night about the program on: • March 5, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm – at Donnan School (7803 – 87 Street); and • March 10, 2014, from 6:00 to 7:15 pm – at Grace Martin School (8210 – 36 Avenue) Registration for the 2014/2015 school year starts in mid March.Continue Reading →
