Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you well in faith and in good health.
We are pleased to share the highlights of our students’ learning experiences and activities during the month of September. (We're a bit late sending this to you and hope to send October's review sooner.) Below is a summary of what we covered across various grade levels.
Kindergarten & Grade 1
• We taught students the importance of saying "Bismillah" before any task and explained its meaning.
• We introduced songs about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and emphasized saying "Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam" when hearing his name.
• Students also learned that Allah is the Creator and explored the meaning of His name "Al-Khaleq."
Grade 2 & 3
• Students reviewed the Hijri calendar and learned about significant events, including the Year of the Elephant.
• We discussed the importance of morning and evening Adhkar (remembrances).
• Students learned Surah Al-Ikhlas and Al-Falaq and their meanings.
Grade 4, 5 & 6
• We emphasized classroom rules and expectations, encouraging students to follow them responsibly.
• Students learned how to identify Allah through His 99 Names, discussed Al-Muhaymin, and how to live by it.
• Students learned the meaning of Surah Al-Falaq and reflected on Islamic manners, such as avoiding jealousy.
• Students reflected on the meaning of this Hadith and how to apply it in their daily interactions with others:
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No one of you becomes a true believer until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
الثالث: عن أنس رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه" ((متفق عليه)) .

Classroom Highlights and Student Reflections
Throughout the month, students showed curiosity and enthusiasm in learning about Islamic values, manners, and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). We also focused on instilling good habits, such as saying Bismillah and expressing gratitude by saying Alhamdulillah. It has been wonderful to see students engage in discussions and participate in songs and activities.
